TARN TARAN: Troops of the Border Security Force (BSF) seized three packets of heroin from near the India-Pakistan border in Punjab’s Tarn Taran district on Friday.
“Following a tip-off, the BSF and police launched a joint search operation near Mehdipur village district and recovered three packets containing around 2.7kg heroin,” a BSF spokesperson said.
The contraband was believed to have been airdropped by a Pakistani drone. However, no arrests were made during the operation, the spokesperson added.
