Last June we announced that we were moving our US HQ to Miami and immediately found a temporary space for the team. Eight months later we’ve definitely outgrown that space, so I’m excited to share that we’ve found our permanent Miami office at the Cube Wynwood — now known as the Blockchain.com Building.
From our humble beginnings in an apartment in York, England back in 2011 we’ve aimed to work in the heart of thriving communities and I couldn’t be more excited to aggressively expand our team and our company’s presence in Miami. While we’ll remain a remote-first company that’s headquartered on the internet, offices still serve as a meeting place for us to gather, collaborate, and build.
As we bring employees, partners, customers, and friends to Miami in the coming months and years, we’re looking forward to sharing the energy of the Miami movement and the exponential growth in development in Wynwood. As we get the space ready to move in, we’re investing in Miami in a number of ways. For instance, this week we’re sponsoring the Blockchain.com Miami Padel Open, and are sponsors for both eMerge Americas and Bitcoin Miami in April. More partnerships and investment news in the region will be coming soon, and I can’t wait to share.
Our team continues to grow in Miami and in Latin America, so we also continue to see Miami as a natural bridge between the Americas, advancing our goal of empowering anyone anywhere to control their money and ushering in adoption for the financial system of the internet.
